Coach (2017):  Jonathan Kountis

Coaching Philosophy
:  The purpose of the showcase team is to allow those players who can compete at a higher level an opportunity to play in a highly competitive environment. This team will apply to tournaments only but the tournament will be highly competitive with exceptional competition.  Playing in these tournament will allow the kids to be looked on by scouts and better their overall play vs. great competition.  But more importantly, these are players who need to continue to challenge themselves against the best competition which is the REAL reason players who are accepted should play on this team. Playing on this team will require a commitment both from a training perspective and financially. The goal will be to keep the costs to a minimum, which we will discuss in more detail during the team meeting after tryouts. We will also plan to have a smaller roster of around 16 players which players will have to compete for opportunities for playing time.

Games
:  The A's team is an all tournament team this year with No league play.  We travel to out of town tournaments to different states.  There are about 7 tournaments that we are going to compete in.

Note:  The Players fee has been eliminated for 2017

Team expenses - $2,250 per year (payable in installments)

Installment schedule:  When a players accepts a position on the team, certain expenses are incurred starting in September.  If a player quits during the off-season, the expenses due to the point of his departure, including the non-refundable deposit, are still due and will be expected, even if the player did not participate in all available training opportunities.  The following schedule indicates the amount due during the off-season.

Acceptance of position on team  - $250 deposit (non-refundable), set up player fee auto debit
November 1st - $675
February 1st - $675
May 1st - $650

Uniform expenses - $50 - $150 This price will vary from player to player based on need.  The goal is to keep the uniform expense as low as possible.  Uniform fee is payable upon the ordering of the uniform some time in the Spring.  The uniform is expected to be two dri-fit style shirts and a hat.  Players will be told what color pants, belt and socks to purchase.  Other uniform items such as team helmet, team warmup jersey etc. will also be offered.

Travel Expenses - We will organize a room sharing plan for players so parents will not necessarily need to travel with the players even though you are certainly welcome to.
