In case of rain
There are no dugouts at the complex with enough shelter in the event of rain but we will have several tents provided for shade.
If we need to cancel the event for the day, an e-mail will be sent and the announcement will be posted at the main camp information page (click here). A makeup date will be announced via this web-site and e-mail for the following week (date to be determined).
In the event of unexpected severe thunderstorms in which the tents may not be adequate we will:
attempt to put all of the kids in cars of parents who are present
utilize the concession area (if needed)
utilize other nearby shelter if necessary
In case of emergency
There will be at least two coaches present with CPR training
There will be a basic first aid kit on-site
In the event of a severe injury where the parent is not present, E911 will be called and then we will attempt to reach the parent at the phone number provided at registration
Coach Dante can be reached at (330) 714-0252 by phone or text message. In case of emergency, it may be best to send a text message which can be retrieved more quickly
Competition Concept - the boys will be divided into 3 groups based on their ages and they will be competing for the camp MVP in each age group. For each skill that we cover, there will be an opportunity for repetitions followed by a competition in each category. Baseball is a game of athleticism and skill so some of the competitions will revolve around pure athleticism while others will focus more on executing a skill correctly. What to bring/wearNormal baseball attire is fine (baseball pants, cleats etc.)
Bring mitt, helmet and bat (if desired)
Bring personal cooler with ice. Sports drink and water will be provided.
Food/snack if desired (we will take a 15 minute break at around 11:00 each day)
