GRIP- December 8th

Post date: Dec 18, 2012 10:49:40 PM

Attendance: 11

Message: Ephesians 6:1-3

Theme: Get a GRIP on Relationships with Parents

Things continue to heat up within the GRIP program! The scores between the two teams have made another change as the intense competition continues.  The point standings are as followed:

 Blue Team- 68.400 points

 Red Team-35,800 points

The message from Ephesians 6:1-3 gives children instruction to obey their parents.  This pleases the Lord and is the first commandment that comes with a promise! The promise is that all will go well and that we can live a long life on Earth.  This is where everyone in attendance would insert a loud, soothing EWWWWWW, AHHHHHHH!  The kids were encouraged to use the 12 words of forgiveness to breakdown any barriers and begin the rebuilding process of repentance with their parents or guardians during this giving time of year.  The twelve words used to start the repentance process are:

I was wrong,

I am sorry,

Please forgive me,

I love you!

When these words are offered in a heart felt way, the repentance process can begin.  From this point, the families can align their growth in a manner that pleases the Lord and secondly, themselves.  I encourage anyone seeking their family life to go well and individual life to be filled with longevity, they implement this verse into their daily walk with the Lord and others.  Regardless the relationship condition, God will provide the strength, opportunity, and direction if we draw near to Him.  Allow today be the chance for you to mend any brokenness in your life and make the finish to 2012 a blessing and start to 2013 a new beginning!  May God's richest blessings be with you and your family!

Merry Christmas!!!
