At Play Ball Sports Academy, we are committed to teaching youth players the right way to play the game. To that end, this page is dedicated to the resources that we offer for youth coaches. Often times, the coach of a community team or even a travel team is selected by asking someone to step forward but what really happens is that everyone else steps back. In other words, the coach is selected by being the person who protests the least or whose schedule permits. Our experience is that these coaches are excited to manage the team and they are typically reasonably knowledgable about the sport. However, normally this is their first experience at coaching a team and they are unsure where to start. They want to strike a balance between the concept that everyone should play and that the primary reason to play is for the kids to have fun. On the other hand, they understand that it is much more fun to be competitive. Furthermore, they acknowledge that the larger life lesson of teaching the kids to do their best, is best learned by learning to play together as a team towards the common goal of winning. This section is a compilation of resources to help coaches that includes the services we offer to assist them.
